1. In the retrieval form in the portal, input keywords of a gene of interest in two words.
   For instance, gene ID, GI number, accession number, part of gene function, and so on.
2. Select a species.
3. Click the submit button.
   
4. In the page of retrieval result, click the "G" button (an image of a blue acorn) of a gene of interest.
